Video Games

My parents have just bought our PC’s video card yesterday, so I’ve only been able to play Crysis today at its almost highest settings, DX10 (I have Vista), 1024X768 resolution at a smooth frame rate!(Heheheh! Cough) Anyway, here is some pictures of my video card and some of my Crysis pictures. Oh, also, GeForce 8800 GTS (640 mb) isn’t available in the market anymore, so we bought a GeForce 8800 GT Super+ (1024 mb) instead. Yeah, it’s got more video RAM!

Here’s my video card

Here are my Crysis screenshots:

My name’s in this one (the white text after all the red text):

PS: Crysis is so hard (even if you’re with a nano suit and all)! I’m stuck in a jungle near the river and water falls, and I’m supposed to go to the excavation site. Could anyone please help me!

As a hardcore PC gamer, my life wouldn’t be complete without a high-end PC that could play every game, including Crysis, at its full glory. And tomorrow, I’ll buy the latest PC available in the market, and my life will be completed at last! Finally I’ll be able to play this beautiful game at it’s maximum settings:

Here are the specs of the computer I’ll buy:

  • 2 Gigabytes RAM
  • Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
  • 250 Gigabytes HD
  • nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS

I’ll just compare the graphics of two of the current best-looking first-person shooters: Call of Duty 4 and Crysis:

How people look in Crysis:

How people look in CoD 4:

How explosions look in Crysis:

(I’m not sure if it’s in-game coz it looks pretty awesome)

How explosions look in Call of Duty4:

I want to show you some in-game screen shots of Crysis just so you could see how handsome the game could really get.

Take note – these are all in-game screen shots: (more…)

What have they done to that poor woman?

RE4 civilians

This horde of crazy farmers really want me dead.

I know the game is pretty ancient already, but it’s my first time to play the game in my PC. For those of you who have no idea what it is, it’s a third person, action-adventure, horror game which enables you to shoot, kick, slash, blow up, etc. enemies (note: this statement is meant to make you laugh. Haha) Ok, so there. The game is unlike previous Resident Evil games, where you’ll have to kill thousands of zombies. In RE 4 you’ll have to kill, not zombies, but thousands of crazy and wierdo civilians; well at least for the first part of the game. However, these civilians are really scary and powerful – shoot them five times in the head, and they’re still alive! That’s all I can say for now, because I have only started the game minutes ago.

Company of Heroes

Company of Heroes

Now, who would think that this game is not a first-person shooter game, but rather a real-time strategy game? (Other RTS games are, C&C: Generals, Tiberium Wars, Age of Empires, and Battle for Middle Earth 1 and 2.) Who would think? You would know of course, unless you don’t know what this game is.

Company of Heroes is developed by Relic Entertainment. Company of Heroes is set in WWII where players control brave soldiers to fight against the Nazis in the greatest war mankind has ever known.

Currently, I am playing Need for Speed Underground 2. For those of you who do not know what it is (impossible), it’s a fun racing game published by EA, which features true to life cars like Toyota’s Celica (my current car), Mazda Miata mx-5, Honda civic (our real life car), and so much more. SUV’s like the Lincoln Navigator and Hummer are also present in the game. Unlike the original Need for Speed Underground, NFSU2 offers a free-roam career mode, which allows the player to move around Bayview City. Players enter a race by moving into ‘race spots’ that are scattered throughout the city. Also, more places are unlocked as the game progresses. However, various modes that are present in the original Underground are also present in Underground 2.
